The Comune of Storo is also known as the "Gateway to Trentino" as it lies just a short distance away from the border with the province of Brescia. This area is rich in watercourses, all strictly controlled, managed and supported by the Associazione Pescatori Dilettanti di Storo, which regulates fish stocks by regularly introducing strictly controlled, good sized fish.

The Associazione Pescatori Dilettanti di Storo offers even the most discerning fishing enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy their sport completely surrounded by nature, enabling them to choose their position at the fishing site and the type of tackle they wish to use. There are different areas where fishing can be practised at various levels of difficulty. Less demanding fishermen who prefer large, abundant catches can opt for the many rivers and drainage channels in the valleys.

In the Comune of Storo, fishing is permitted in the River Chiese from the village of Storo as far as Lake Idro and in the Palvico torrent, which borders on the Valle di Ledro further up and meanders its way for several kilometres between the mountains and plains before flowing into the River Chiese. These watercourses offer beautiful riffles and deep potholes of crystal clear, amazingly transparent water.

Fossa di Darzo, which wends its way through the fields of Lodrone as far as its confluence with the River Chiese, offers around 5 km of water teeming with salmonidae and timallidae of various sizes where any fishing technique can be practised from casting to spin and fly fishing.
