The Associazione Sportiva Pescatori Solandri holds the aquaculture and exclusive fishing rights for the streams, rivers and lakes in Val di Sole, identified on the Province of Trento’s fishing map as Area N° 14 - Alto Noce.
The Fishing Reserve extends over a vast area, which comprises the Val di Sole and the Val di Pejo and Val di Rabbi side valleys, and is one of the richest areas in Trentino in water.
In accordance with the Articles of Association, the object of the Association is a rational cultivation of the waters it holds the rights for according to the Fishing Map, based essentially on increasing natural productivity, safeguarding the biological balance and maintaining the original genetic lines of the fish species present. The Association also carries out appropriate supervision by training amateur fishermen in sports fishing techniques.
The Association numbers around 500 members, 90% of whom are "ordinary members", resident in Trentino and the rest "associated members", who are resident outside the province but maintain their links with it.
To become an associate member, a fisherman must obtain approval from the ’Association’s Management Committee, and possess a fishing licence issued by the province of residence and a "fishing qualification" as provided for by the Fishing Law of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
